Nanophotonics and Surface-Enhanced Spectroscopy

When light interacts with matter below the wavelength of light there exists a wide range of phenomena that can be leveraged for many different means. By precisely manipulating and concentrating electromagnetic fields at the nanoscale, we unlock the potential for various extraordinary effects, including amplified spectroscopic signals and finely tuned resonances. We aim to use these nearfield enhancements to study cutting edge problems in biology and physics on a single molecule level.
